Scott J. Pollak, MD

AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida is honored to award Scott J. Pollak, MD as the February (Heart Month) Volunteer of the Month in 2024 for pioneering innovative cardiovascular care at AdventHealth’s Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute and leaving a lifesaving impact on patients.

“You want the best care and technology where you live,” shared Dr. Pollak as he spoke to his team’s accomplishments in publishing nearly 25 original research publications related to electrophysiology (EPS), a medical specialty that studies the electric impulses of the heart which has the potential to save lives. Dr. Pollak and his EPS team have also developed four new pieces of medical equipment that have set apart cardiac care at AdventHealth.

Dr. Pollak has a number of grateful patients who have chosen to give back to cardiac care at AdventHealth, including the Ferdinand and Anna Duda Foundation who made a $100,000 gift to establish The Dr. Scott Pollak Electrophysiology Fund fund that supports underserved patients with chronic heart rhythm issues. “Philanthropy is the mortar that builds the ability to do these things.”

Dr. Scott Pollak is truly humble at heart but has made an extraordinary impact in countless lives at AdventHealth. Our hearts are grateful to you.
