Diabetes may lead to lifestyle changes, but it doesn’t have to interrupt your life. Our Diabetes Care team works to provide you with the right education to move forward and manage your diabetes with confidence. Our experienced and compassionate team of diabetes specialists can meet with you individually, or in a group setting, to give you the clarity and insights you need about important care topics, including:
- Blood Sugar Monitoring
- Complication Prevention
- Exercise
- Medication
- Nutrition
- Weight Management
Along with valuable information, our diabetes specialists can guide your wellness, giving you food plans, recipes, strategies for eating out, behavior change techniques, tips on how to handle emotional eating, and more. We offer the following:
- Individual visits with a diabetes nurse educator and/or a registered dietitian.
- Diabetes education classes offered Tuesday afternoons from 3 to 5:30 pm for a total of 3 classes.
- Free monthly support group on the first Thursday of each month from 4 to 5 pm.

Living Well with Diabetes Support Group: Opportunities and Encouragement
Our world-class Diabetes Care team at AdventHealth offers the tools you need to keep your diabetes in check. One of those tools is our Living Well with Diabetes support group that provides education and encouragement through a group learning environment. Arm yourself with the information you need to make smart lifestyle choices.
Join us for Living Well with Diabetes to:
- Learn new information
- Renew your energy
- Ask questions and get answers you can trust
- Share your experience with others
Our support group is held from 4 to 5 pm on the first Thursday of the month. This will be virtual support group only held via Zoom.

Stop Diabetes Before it Starts
Did you know 1 in 3 Americans have pre-diabetes and 15-30% will develop Type 2 Diabetes within 5 years? Join Diabetes Nurse Educator to learn what pre-diabetes means and ways to prevent or delay diabetes.
Next class will be held on August 14.
All classes are held from 4:30 to 6 pm in the Flint Hills Room in the Woodland Hills Building, 7315 East Frontage Road.
