- Advanced Treatment Options
-
Delivering quality care to our patients is our central focus. We adapt and develop the most creative solutions to deliver quality pain medicine. In an ongoing effort to provide the highest quality in pain medicine administration, we have voluntarily adapted the American Society of Anesthesiology’s Quality Guidelines. These measures represent factors that are unique to pain medicine practice and have been proven to be associated with high quality delivery of care.
AdventHealth Pain Specialists uses advanced technologies that provide patients with more options for pain management. The most common procedures we offer include:
- Epidural steroid injection: injection of a potent anti-inflammatory medication in the epidural space.
- Diagnostic/therapeutic nerve block: injection of anesthetic agent at the pain site or nerve root.
- Trigger point injection: injection of steroid/anesthetic into contracted muscle fiber.
- Radio frequency nerve ablation: use of radio waves to destroy the nerve causing chronic pain.
- Spinal cord stimulator trials.
