Care You Need, Close to Home
-
Diagnostic Imaging
Our diagnostic imaging services include a full range of tests and scans to accurately diagnose a wide range of health conditions. Our digital imaging technology allows doctors to access test results immediately so treatments can begin quickly.
-
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine is a specialized area of radiology that uses very small amounts of radioactive materials that are given orally or through an IV. These radioactive materials create an image of the organ's structure and metabolic functioning that your provider can review.
-
Vascular Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology involves minimally invasive approaches to various medical treatments, including image-guided biopsies and interventions like drainages. Radiologists or surgeons guide catheters or wires to an affected area to deliver targeted treatment.
Start Healing As Soon As Possible
- Preparing You for Your Procedure in Our Imaging Center
-
When you know what to expect, it’s easier to be confident in your care. Before your exam, we’ll talk about your medical history and any allergies you may have, and we’ll ask if you experience claustrophobia.
Your imaging test will probably last between 30 minutes and an hour. Depending on your diagnostic or screening, we may ask you to change into gowns or scrubs and remove any electronic devices or metal jewelry. You may also need to fast for several hours before. In order to gain a better look at the inside of your body, we may have you drink a liquid called a contrast or a radiotracer. In other cases, we may inject this liquid intravenously, but you can trust that all of our procedures are non-invasive or minimally invasive, which means you won’t feel any pain.
From start to finish, we’ll be here to guide and reassure you. After your test, your imaging team will carefully examine each picture and try to deliver your results as soon as possible.
- Preparing for Your Upcoming Screening
-
Knowing what to expect reduces anxiety and increases confidence. We need to know what to expect too, so before your exam, we’ll discuss your medical history and allergies. We’ll even ask if you experience claustrophobia and take steps to make your screening process less cramped.
In preparation for some tests, you may need to change into scrubs or a gown, and we may ask you to remove any metal jewelry or electronic devices. In certain cases, you may need to fast for several hours beforehand. To help us get a clearer look at the inside of your body, we may ask you to drink a liquid called a contrast, or we may inject this intravenously. Following your test, your recovery period will be fairly short.
We’re here to guide you from start to finish. After your test, a board-certified radiologist will assess your images, delivering results to your doctor as soon as possible. If you have any concerns or questions, just ask. We’re here to ease your mind. To learn more about what to expect for your test, visit us or talk to your doctor.
