    Adnan Muhammad, MD is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist and hepatologist with over 12 years of experience and board certifications in internal medicine, gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. He treats patients ages 18 and older for a wide variety of liver and gastrointestinal conditions. He also has advanced fellowship training and interest in hepatology.

    Dr. Muhammad is dedicated to providing the best, personalized care to his patients in a timely manner. He believes the fastest and best results yield from mutual and active participation between the patient and the care team. In his spare time, Dr. Muhammad enjoys traveling, sports and movies. He is also fluent in both English and Urdu.

He primarily specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for disorders of the liver, gallbladder and biliary tract. Dr. Sucandy is proud to bring his expertise to the Tampa Bay community.

    John P. Leone, MD is a board-certified general surgeon who has been providing surgical care for the Tampa Bay community since 2001. Dr. Leone has been recognized as a devoted and attentive surgeon in the areas of general surgery, including transplant surgery and complex hernia repair. He specializes in end stage renal disease providing comprehensive surgical care for dialysis access and hyperparathyroidism.

    Dr. Leone has dedicated his career to offering comprehensive care for his patients. He coordinates not only the surgical aspect, but also works with the medical care team so the patient is thoroughly prepared for an optimal outcome and recovery.

    Kim-Phung Nguyen, MD PhD is board certified in colon and rectal surgery and general surgery. She performs minimally invasive surgery using laparoscopic and robotic techniques to treat colon and rectal disorders, with an emphasis on individualization of care. Dr. Nguyen provides medical and surgical care for various diseases that affect the lower gastrointestinal tract with a special focus on the optimal treatment of colorectal cancers as well as benign conditions such as Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, and anorectal disorders.

    Her care philosophy is to manage patients and their expectations in an open and collaborative way. Dr. Nguyen wants her patients to feel as though she cares about them as if they were a member of her own family and doesn’t just look at them as a disease process. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and sees patients 18 years and older.

    To keep busy during her time away from work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys reading, running and spending time with my family.

    Dr. Harris is a double-board certified gastroenterologist who practices both general gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy, including experience in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with and without fine needle aspiration, gastrointestinal oncology with luminal restoration/endoluminal stenting, complex pancreatic disorders including pseudocyst drainage, EUS guided nerve block and neurolysis, standard and complicated Barrett's esophagus treatment including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Through a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Murr and his team focus on the whole health of each person and apply a customized approach for improved well-being.

    As a pioneer of bariatric surgery, Dr. Murr has served in leadership roles in many national scientific organizations. He maintains an active role in education and research. Founder of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Florida State Chapter, Dr. Murr has been instrumental in working with Florida Legislature, encouraging insurance companies and employers to support comprehensive obesity management. Voted by his peers as the Top Bariatric Surgeon in Tampa, Dr. Murr is embedded in the community and has lived in Tampa for the last 20 years.
