AdventHealth has named Cory Reeves president and CEO for AdventHealth Hendersonville. Reeves assumed leadership on May 1. Reeves, who was serving as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the AdventHealth Southeast Region and for AdventHealth Gordon & Murray in Georgia, was selected to replace Jimm Bunch, who announced his retirement in February.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Bunch and Reeves agreed to postpone the transition until April 30 in order to maintain continuity of leadership during the early phases of the pandemic. The two leaders worked together through all the processes and decisions regarding the local response to COVID-19 in our community.
“Cory has been part of the AdventHealth Hendersonville leadership through his role on our board and as chairman of our finance committee over the past five years,” said Jimm Bunch, former AdventHealth Hendersonville President & CEO. “I have seen his commitment to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ, and I know he is committed to our team members here. I am confident in his leadership and vision to continue to provide whole-person care to the people in our community. I believe he will do an exceptional job continuing to lead AdventHealth Hendersonville.”
Reeves has been with the AdventHealth organization for 18 years.
“Over the years, Cory has proven to be a dynamic leader at AdventHealth. He is driven by a passion to extend our mission and that is evident in the way he does his work and leads his teams. His bias toward action will be pivotal in advancing our promise of wholeness in Henderson County and the surrounding community,” said Terry Shaw, president/CEO for AdventHealth.
Reeves has worked in various accounting roles throughout his tenure at AdventHealth. Under Reeves’ leadership, AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray have seen substantial financial growth and an expansion of assets to better serve the communities of north Georgia. He has also served on the AdventHealth Hendersonville Board and been Chairman of the AdventHealth Hendersonville Finance Committee for the past five years.
“Reeves is a tremendous health care leader, and we are excited to have him leading AdventHealth Hendersonville,” said Pete Weber, president and CEO for the Southeast Region of AdventHealth. “With his proven health care experience, background working in faith-based health care and commitment to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ, I have confidence that the community of Henderson County will continue to experience exceptional wholistic care under his leadership.”
Reeves received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Southern Adventist University. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University. Reeves is involved in his community, serving on several church and community boards.
“I feel blessed to have the opportunity to lead AdventHealth Hendersonville,” Reeves said. “I look forward to working with the physicians, team members and community partners as we continue to deliver Christ-centered, whole-person care throughout the community.”
Reeves and his wife Amanda have been married for almost 16 years and have two boys, Noah (12) and Jacob (10). In his free time, Reeves enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, and photography. He also makes time to spend with his community and church family.
