Our mission is to provide the best care in Florida for all rhythm issues in children and adults with congenital heart disease. We aim to treat and cure arrhythmia problems, and provide the best experience for our patients and families
Fortunately, the majority of heart rhythm problems in children can be diagnosed and cured. With years of experience and use of the latest technologies, our success rate of common arrhythmia cure is better than 95 percent. Even for complex arrhythmias and difficult WPW pathway locations, our outcomes are better than the national average. Almost all catheter EP procedures at our hospital are done with a minimally invasive, fluoroless (no radiation) technique.
When the heart has a conduction disorder and the heart rate is too slow, some patients require pacemakers. In collaboration with our cardiac surgeons, we are able to implant pacemakers in the smallest babies and in the most complex adult congenital patients. We have excellent support and follow-up for those patients with a comprehensive outpatient clinic that incorporates home monitoring.
Our team is also skilled in the management of cardiomyopathies and sudden death syndromes including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), long QT syndrome (LQTS), Brugada syndrome, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), and others. In addition to cardiac management and arrhythmia prevention, we provide genetic testing and family counseling for these patients.
