Florida Hospital New Smyrna Auxiliary installs new executive board

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., March 5, 2018 The Florida Hospital New Smyrna Auxiliary has installed a new executive board, responsible for managing the overall business operations of the hospital volunteers. The new board includes Cynthia Couch as vice president, Steve Kenney as president, Shirley Lopriore as corresponding secretary, Judy Miller as recording secretary, and Bob Snyder as treasurer. We are truly indebted for the service that our volunteers provide our patients and guests, said Ken Mattison, Florida Hospital New Smyrna CEO. Id also like to extend heartfelt thanks to outgoing president Charlie Hemler for leading the auxiliary for the past two years. He and his wife, Polly, have spent countless hours managing the auxiliary's gift shop and the Pink Door thrift shop. Florida Hospital New Smyrna's auxiliary is made up of approximately 150 volunteers who have been an integral part of the hospital since 1954. Auxilians share a common goal of providing compassionate service to patients, hospital staff and the community. In addition, these men and women serve as goodwill ambassadors for the hospital and raise funds for the hospitals equipment and services.
