Florida Hospitals Name Executive Director of Care Integration

VOLUSIA AND FLAGLER COUNTIES, Fla., March 22, 2017 The Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which is composed of the six Florida Hospitals located in Volusia and Flagler counties, has selected Kelly Rogers to serve as executive director of care integration. In this role, Rogers is responsible for integrating ambulatory care management and population health services across the Florida Hospital East Florida Regions continuum of care. In addition, Rogers will oversee Health Promotion and Wellness, as well as Florida Hospital Community Care, a program that helps those in the under- and uninsured population with multiple chronic illness live healthier despite multiple barriers. Rogers has 23 years of experience as a registered nurse and 11 years of senior management experience in healthcare. She joined Florida Hospital in June 2010 and most recently served as executive director of clinical effectiveness for Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach. In this role, she oversaw the quality improvement, risk management, infection control, patient experience and education departments. For the 2012-2013 cycle, Rogers served as an examiner for the Florida Sterling Council, an organization that strives to enhance Floridas competitive edge and quality of life through the assessment and recognition of performance excellence, culminating in the Governors Sterling Award. As an examiner, Rogers was responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted, as well as assisting in on-site reviews of organizations who have applied for the Sterling Award. Locally, Rogers served on the Board of Directors for Ormond Mainstreet in 2013, and is currently is participating in Leadership Daytona Class 37. A Volusia County resident, Rogers earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and a Master of Science in Nursing and Healthcare Management Systems from Loyola University New Orleans in Louisiana. Encompassing six Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties, the Florida Hospital East Florida Region is the largest hospital system in the area, with 923 beds and more than 6,000 employees. The Florida Hospital East Florida Region includes Florida Hospital DeLand in DeLand, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, and Florida Hospital Oceanside in Ormond Beach. In April 2016, the sixth facility was added to the Florida Hospital East Florida Region family: Florida Hospital New Smyrna (formerly Bert Fish Medical Center) in New Smyrna Beach.
