Hospital Foundation Adds Members to Board of Directors

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., October 1, 2018 Florida Hospital New Smyrna has named two new members to serve on the board of directors for its foundation: Marvel Richards and Debra Simms.

Marvel Richards is a former finance director and campaign manager in Washington, D.C. She and her husband of 46 years have owned a home in New Smyrna Beach for 32 years and recently moved to the area full-time. Richards looks forward to applying her experience in event planning and project management to fundraising, particularly related to cancer.

Debra Simms is a board-certified elder law attorney, specializing in wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced directives, probate, guardianship and Medicaid. She has practiced law for 30 years and earned a masters degree in social work. Simms is an active member of the New Smyrna Beach community and looks forward to serving as an ambassador for Florida Hospital New Smyrna.
