AdventHealth has named Mark Smith president/CEO for AdventHealth Avista in Louisville, Colorado, effective April 8. He will report to Brett Spenst, president/CEO for AdventHealth’s Rocky Mountain Region.
“Mark is passionate about nurturing an organizational culture that supports patient-centered care and elevates quality and high reliability,” Spenst said. “We look forward to having him join the team at AdventHealth Avista.”
With more than 18 years of experience in the health care industry, Smith comes to AdventHealth from MultiCare based in Tacoma, Washington, where he served as president and market leader for the South King County Region and the Auburn and Covington Medical Centers. Previously, he served in Kettering Health Network for six years, holding the roles of Kettering Health Hamilton president, corporate vice president, Kettering Health Miamisburg president and vice president of finance and operations for Kettering Health Greene Memorial.
Smith earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Union College. He is currently a member of the Washington State Hospital Association Public Policy Committee and the Covington Chamber of Commerce board.
