Hendersonville, NC (November 8, 2018) Park Ridge Health achieved an A grade in the Leapfrog Groups Fall Safety Grade, released today. This is the fifth consecutive A grade for Park Ridge Health. With the Hospital Safety Grades, Leapfrog assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to hospitals across the country based on how safe they are for patients.

Park Ridge Health understands safety is the highest priority for every person who comes to us for care. We take that trust in us very seriously by keeping patient safety first and foremost in every aspect of care we provide, said Jimm Bunch, Park Ridge Health President and CEO. To have The Leapfrog Group, one of the leading resources patients turn to for care ratings as they are making their care choices, once again award us with an A grade is a significant honor.

Developed under the guidance of a National Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign the grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. The Hospital Safety Grades methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public.

Park Ridge Health’s continued success in achieving an A rating is evidence that the organization places an emphasis on protecting patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections. We are inspired by Park Ridge Health’s leadership on patient safety, said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group.
