Dr. Susan K. Chase is a Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs in the College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida. She holds a doctorate in education from Harvard University, and has a master’s in nursing education from New York University and bachelor’s degrees from Columbia and Vanderbilt.
She has served as a faith community nurse in Massachusetts and Florida and formerly taught at Boston College where she developed a joint master’s degree in nursing and pastoral theology. She also taught at Florida Atlantic University and the University of Massachusetts, Worcester. She has published in the area of faith community nursing, end-of-life decision making, clinical judgment, and presence. She has published thirty articles in peer-reviewed journals,one book, and seventeen book chapters.
