For a smooth video visit on your computer, taking these steps will help you enable camera and microphone access in chrome on any Android device.
When you select the Join button to start the call, you’ll be prompted to enable your camera and microphone for use during a call. Please be sure to select Allow.
How to Re-Enable a Blocked Camera or Microphone
- Tap lock icon to the left of the Address Bar (URL)
- Select “Site settings”
- Select Sound, Camera, and/or Microphone
- Ensure your sound, camera & mic are toggled to “Allow”
- Refresh your Chrome browser to try to access the video visit again
How to clear your existing site settings
- Tap lock icon next to the url
- Select “Site settings
- Select the “Clear & Reset”
- Click “Clear & Reset”
- Refresh your Chrome browser to try to access the video visit again
- Select allow when prompted for permissions
How to reset Chrome permissions
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Go to Apps & App permissions.
- Select Chrome from your list of installed apps.
- Open Permissions and ensure your camera & mic are toggled on.
- Refresh your Chrome browser to try to access the video visit again
