The cheerleaders are in Central Florida in advance of the 2022 Vrbo Citrus Bowl, scheduled Saturday, Jan. 1, at nearby Camping World Stadium. The college football bowl matchup features the No. 15 Iowa Hawkeyes (10-3, 7-2 Big 10) versus the No. 22 Kentucky Wildcats (9-3, 5-3 SEC).

West Lakes ELC was selected by University of Kentucky for a cheerleader service project in which the squad read books and played games with the children, and led the preschoolers in stretching exercises and, of course, cheer routines.

Operated by AdventHealth for Children, the West Lakes ELC provides high-quality and affordable early childhood education and comprehensive health, wellness and social services for up to 154 children six weeks to 5 years of age, and their families. Offering a blended curriculum based on Primrose Schools’ research-based Balanced Learning® curriculum and AdventHealth’s CREATION Kids curriculum, the ELC empowers children to thrive, physically, mentally and spiritually. The ELC is made possible through a generous gift from the Bainum Family Foundation.
