AdventHealth Tampa Brings Joy to Pediatric ICU on Oct 31

October 31, 2023 — AdventHealth Tampa hosted a special "Reverse Trick or Treat" event in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on October 31, where the pediatric care team wore fun costumes and spread joy to some of the littlest patients.

The dedicated pediatric care team will dress up and go from room to room, surprising the children with treats and fun gifts, bringing smiles to their hospital stay.

"Hospital stays can be challenging for children, especially on a holiday,” said Michele Axford, child life specialist at AdventHealth Tampa. “We are hoping to make their time at the hospital a little bit easier and more fun by bringing the excitement to them, allowing them to experience all the fun right from their hospital beds."
