Ahmed Zakari, MD

Ahmed Zakari, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine, hematology and oncology physician at the Cancer Institute of Florida. He is the Director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Program at AdventHealth Cancer Institute and chairs the Division of Hematology in the Department of Internal Medicine at AdventHealth. Dr. Zakari specializes in colorectal and gastrointestinal cancers and leukemia and lymphoma.

Zakari combines deep medical knowledge with strong communications skills, enabling him to condense complex topics into interesting and compelling sessions. At Georgetown University Medical School, Zakari won a Golden Apple Award for teacher of the year, and in 2013 Orlando Magazine selected him as a Central Florida “Top Doc.”
