Dr. Tanton is the Medical Director of Clinical Practice for the AdventHealth Diabetes Institute. Tanton is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. He has exceptional expertise in performing thyroid ultrasounds, fine needle aspirations of the thyroid and ethanol sclerotherapy, and specializes in providing advanced treatment options and minimally-invasive procedures for hormonal conditions.
Dr. Tanton joined AdventHealth in 2008 as a decorated United States Air Force Veteran. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida and his internal medicine residency at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Fairborn, Ohio. Following, he completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. For his outstanding service to patients, our nation and while deployed abroad, Dr. Tanton received the Meritorious Service Medal and the Joint Service Commendation Medal. Currently, Dr. Tanton practices at Florida Diabetes and Endocrine Center located in Orlando, Florida.
