Deborah Spielman is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for AdventHealth for Children, a Magnet and LEAPFROG recognized hospital. In her current role, she has the operational oversight of the 200-bed tertiary "Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children," children's emergency services, pediatric outpatient services and pediatric support services throughout a Network of Care. Deborah has been employed by AdventHealth for over 22 years. She began as a Physician Relations Representative in December 1995, and in less than a year was promoted to Director of Business Development & Community Relations in April 1996. In November 2003, she took the role of Administrative Director of Behavioral Health Services where she was responsible for the administrative, financial, operational and strategic direction for the AdventHealth system, which included 75 inpatient psychiatric beds. In April 2008, she was appointed to the position of Assistant Vice President of the AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute. In that role, Debbie was responsible for the overall strategic direction for the neuroscience service line across all AdventHealth campuses. Under Debbie's leadership the AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute was ranked 38th nationally by U.S. News & World Report as well as #1 in the Orlando Metro area. Her success has led to her current role.
