Wendy Carter is a Senior Partner with AdventHealth Orlando's Leadership and Talent Development team with over 15 years experience in serving Human Resources, Higher Education and Career Development. Wendy is a passionate advocate for empowering individuals to maximize their potential at work and in life.
Prior to joining AdventHealth Orlando, Wendy served as the HR Manager of a national non-profit in New York City where she developed people development initiatives, recruited NYC’s top talent and produced training programs to develop the organizations’ staff. In addition, she taught Career Development techniques to students as the Adjunct Professor of DeVry College of New York’s Career and Development 101 course. Due to the passion and commitment to her work, Wendy was awarded DeVry University’s two most prestigious awards, The Ron Taylor Award and the Legacy of Service Award in 2012.
In her spare time, Wendy serves on the boards of the National Association of African-Americans in Human Resources (Greater Orlando chapter) and the African-American Chamber of Commerce. She is a native of Jamaica, West Indies and enjoys traveling back home, trying new foods and spending quality time with her son, Chance and husband, Dean.
