- AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida
For the month of August, AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida would like to showcase the generosity that William “Bill” Feyk has shown towards Sharing Smiles. It’s through exceptional leaders like Bill that Sharing Smiles is able to continue to deliver healing to children in developing countries. We are delighted to nominate Bill due to his outstanding contribution towards the mission of Sharing Smiles and his ongoing helping in raising significant funds for cleft lip and palate treatment.
As a Rotarian of the Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand, Bill attended a Sharing Smiles cleft lip and palate mission trip to Mérida, Mexico in 2019. Upon his return from this trip, Bill felt convicted to donate his time and resources towards Sharing Smiles.
“I got involved with Sharing Smiles after meeting the amazing team, participating in a mission trip and witnessing the life changing power of the program. This is a program that provides these beautiful children with the opportunity to reach their full potential and enjoy the best that life has to offer”
Today, Bill serves as a Sharing Smiles ambassador, continuing to share his experience with various organizations and Rotary Clubs to help collect funds for future mission trips. This year because of Bill and his Rotary Club’s efforts, they fundraised over $30,000 to fully fund a cleft and palate mission trip to Campeche, Mexico! We are truly thankful for Bill and his devotion to Sharing Smiles.
“How could I not support Sharing Smiles? There are certainly many good causes in our world, but I don’t know of any that are more impactful.”
In 2017, the Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand named Bill, “Rotarian of the Year.” He currently volunteers and serves as an administrator at the Good Samaritan Free Clinic in DeLand. He is happily married to Dr. Mary Theresa Izzo and has four sons.
