You Can Make a Difference
Employee Giving is led by volunteer committees made up of AdventHealth team members at each of our West Florida hospitals. Through Spirit of Giving, you can show pride in your work, create a legacy of giving back and support whole-person care, with 100% of your gift directed to the cause you designate.

Employee Emergency Fund
There are many causes our team members can support. We invite you to join us in caring for your fellow team members by making a gift to the Employee Emergency fund or another fund of your choosing.
The Employee Emergency Fund helps provide relief and support to West Florida Division team members who are experiencing a sudden or unexpected financial emergency through no fault of their own.
Supporting Employees in Emergencies
QuoteI give to the Employee Emergency Fund because I want my fellow teammates and their families to worry about one less thing as they navigate difficult times.
The spirit of giving is truly tied to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

Employee Giving FAQs
- Why should I give?
-
Your gift represents the spirit of generosity and makes a profound impact on your team members and our community as a whole. Every gift counts and is a beautiful reflection of our shared missions and values.
- Why are donations from employees important?
-
Choosing to donate through our employee giving program demonstrates your belief in AdventHealth’s mission and your dedication to helping others above and beyond your daily work. Our hospitals are non-profit and rely on donations to provide programs above and beyond our budgets. When our employees give, it sends a meaningful endorsement to the community: it shows you are proud of the exceptional health care we provide every day.
- What can I give to?
-
You may designate your gift to any existing fund at the Foundation – area of greatest need, hospital campaign, mission trips, employee emergency assistance, and so much more. Any gift – anywhere – makes a difference.
- What benefits do I receive?
-
The greatest benefit of all is knowing your generosity and commitment to AdventHealth have a great impact on the future of patients, families and fellow team members. Everyone who participates in the program will receive a Spirit of Giving pin and t-shirt. Power Donors will receive an additional gift of a power charging bank.
- What is the Power Donor Club?
-
Power Donor Club includes all employees who commit to giving the equivalent of one hour of pay per month or more through payroll deduction. Your hourly contribution rate will lock in at your current rate as verified by Human Resources. Gifts will be deducted from your paycheck (26 times per year) and will remain in effect until employment separation or cancelled by the employee.
- Am I required to give a gift?
-
No, you are not required to give a gift. This is voluntary, and we are grateful for every participant and commitment that we receive.
- How much should I give and is my contribution tax deductible?
-
Your gift should be of a size suitable to you. Even the smallest gifts have a big impact. The simple fact that you are participating means a great deal to the Foundation. If you itemize deductions on your tax return, contributions may be deductible to the extent allowed by law.
- Once I submit an online donation form what happens?
-
Once you submit your donation online or send in your response card, the Foundation will be notified and process your donation. The Foundation will collaborate with payroll and finance to submit your request for payroll deduction. Once the deduction begins, your gift will be used to fund the program or service you have selected to support. Every penny of your donation goes directly to the fund you have chosen to support; it does not go into a generic fund.
- When will my payroll deduction begin?
-
Your deduction will typically begin within two to four weeks after we receive your donation form.
- If I sign up for payroll deduction, do I need to renew each year?
-
If you make a one-time payroll deduction gift, you will need to renew each year. If you sign up for a recurring payroll deduction, your gift will automatically renew.
- I already give. Does this mean my contribution will now spread across AdventHealth Foundation West Florida?
-
No, employees may give to any AdventHealth hospital and 100% of your dollars will support your chosen hospital.
- If I transfer to a different position within the West Florida Division, will my deduction continue?
-
Yes, your deduction will continue as stated on your donation form until you tell us otherwise. If you would like to stop or change your deduction, contact wfd.employeegiving@adventhealth.com and we will assist you with completing a new donation form.
- I would like to make a donation, but have additional questions.
