We also offer screenings for all types of diabetes. This includes measuring the levels of glucose in your bloodstream.
Our comprehensive testing includes:- An A1C test, which diagnoses type 1 and type 2 diabetes with a simple blood test
- Casual plasma glucose test, which is a screening for blood sugar
- Fasting plasma glucose test, which is a precise test that requires you to avoid all food or drinks for eight hours
- Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), where you ingest glucose and have levels tested afterward
If you test positive for diabetes, we'll work with you to start a process of healing with a personalized treatment plan created just for you.

- Insurance Coverage and Eligibility
-
If you’ve been treating your diabetes with oral medications, diet modifications or insulin, you’re eligible to participate in our program. All you need is a prescription from your doctor. Most insurance plans cover diabetes education and supplies but be sure to contact your insurance provider before enrolling to make sure you have the right coverage.
- Expert Diabetic Wound Care
-
High glucose levels over a long period of time can lead to nerve damage (neuropathy) and poor blood circulation. These conditions are common diabetes complications that make it hard for your skin to repair itself and cause wounds to heal slowly, or not at all.
When you're injured, you want answers, expertise and someone who understands every aspect of your situation. Our Wound Care Institute professionals deliver that type of complete, compassionate care. Knowing your wounds can be complicated by existing conditions like diabetes or arthritis, we'll make sure to get the full picture of your health history before deciding on any treatment.
