DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., December 22, 2017 Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center employees created 43 Christmas wreaths and donated them to the Childrens Home Society and Halifax Urban Ministries to help local families in-need decorate for the Christmas season.
Following this year's To Us a Child Is Born theme, each hospital department was challenged to decorate a wreath to commemorate the expansion of the Daytona Beach hospital's pediatric services. The wreaths were on display on the first floor of the 327-bed hospital and voted on based on creativity and theme. The environmental services team was this years winner.
These wreaths are a wonderful expression of our employees creativity and love of the Christmas season, said Farzad Nourian, director of mission, ministries and pastoral care for the Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties. They are a gift from our Florida Hospital family to those who have little to decorate with for the holiday season and we hope they will bring some Christmas cheer.
