Endocrinologist Relocates Within Orange City

ORANGE CITY, Fla., October 21, 2016 Endocrinologist Dr. Charlene Robertson has relocated her practice to 2885 Wellness Ave., Orange City.

She is the only endocrinologist currently practicing in West Volusia County and has been in Orange City since 2011. Her previous office was located at 1081 Town Center Dr., Ste. 200, Orange City.

Robertson joined the Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners medical staff at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in 2011. Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners is the employed group of physicians for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which encompasses the six Florida Hospitals within Volusia and Flagler counties. Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners consists of more than 160 physicians, including both primary care physicians and specialists, and enjoys a mutual partnership with Florida Hospital based upon the close alignment of the hospital's mission and values.

Board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, as well as in internal medicine, Robertson specializes in the effective management of diabetes and has advanced training in geriatric medicine. Her areas of interest also include thyroid disease and metabolic bone disease.

Robertson received her medical degree at St. Georges University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. While there, she was awarded two scholarships for academic excellence.

She went on to complete a residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and an additional fellowship in geriatric medicine at State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse.

In addition, Robertson has earned certification in thyroid ultrasonography and biopsies and densitometry.

Her training allows her to treat adrenal gland disorders, pituitary conditions, male hormone disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome and other endocrine disorders. She is also experienced in diagnosing and treating thyroid cancer, as well designing treatment plans for patients with osteoporosis.
