Jenny Gonzalez-Ramirez has kept a small angel figurine tucked in her car for 12 years. Her husband, Joel Medina, gave it to her when the couple started dating. They named the angel Kimberly. Joel often called Lenny to teasingly check on the angel.

As the New Year came along in 2011, with much effort and prayer, Lenny became pregnant with their first child at age 42. The couple decided they would name her Kimberly after the angel.

Because of Lenny's age, her pregnancy was considered high-risk, so she chose the top hospital for high-risk pregnancies: AdventHealth Orlando.

Expectant mothers with pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, those having twins or triplets, or those who have early signs of labor deliver at AdventHealth Orlando, and the hospitals around Central Florida often transfer high-risk patients there.

The hospital features state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled medical team, comprising obstetricians, maternal-fetal specialists, neonatal specialists, pediatric surgeons, a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit and specially certified nurses.

When she began to feel pelvic pain in May, Lenny was admitted to AdventHealth Orlando, which staffs and obstetrician 24 hours a day.

On July 14 at 10:35 pm, Lenny delivered Kimberly Ann by C-section. She was born at 31 weeks, six days gestation. She weighed 4 pounds, 7 ounces and stayed in an incubator until she could go home on August 2.

One of the best things that ever happened to me was to be under their care, says Lenny, who lives in Celebration and works as an accountant. I think God gave me this miracle, and AdventHealth made sure she came home.
