N.C., February 09, 2022 — AdventHealth Announces New Winner of Sunflower Award

Feb. 9, 2022; Hendersonville, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to introduce you to the newest member of its nursing support team to win the Sunflower Award. Ashley Jenkins, CNA, is a member of the Behavioral Health Unit care team.

Ashley is committed to providing safe, loving care to the patients of the Behavioral Health Unit. Her team members report that Ashley cares for the patients with respect and pride, always making sure they are well taken care of, mentally and physically. And they praise her support for the nursing staff and her upbeat attitude.

“She has a wonderful attitude when she arrives and jumps right into caring for our patients,” Leandra Mahn, RN, explains in the nomination letter, “Safety is at the top of her concerns and she ensures that all patients are safe, as well as staff, when she is here.”

AdventHealth Hendersonville established the quarterly Sunflower Award to recognize certified nursing assistants who commit to striving for excellence in their profession; consistently deliver patient-centered, whole-person care with integrity; embrace the opportunity to learn and grow; and integrate change to improve the health and well-being of patients, family members and guest while Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.
