N.C., — AdventHealth Hendersonville Activates New COVID-19 Visitor Restrictions and
Nurse Triage Hotline
Mar. 16, 2020; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville has activated new visitor restrictions to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Beginning immediately, no visitors under the age of 18 are permitted at the hospital main campus. Patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit, ICU, Behavioral Health, The Baby Place and ER may designate one person to be their visitor.
“This is a matter of protecting our patients, team members, and physicians,” said Jimm Bunch, AdventHealth Hendersonville President and CEO. “At this point, societal isolation is the only thing we know that works to stop the spread of the coronavirus. That is why we are implementing these additional visitor restrictions and efforts to keep people safe.”
To support the community and growing questions regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, AdventHealth is now operating a 24-hour Nurse Triage Hotline. Anyone who has questions may call 828-681-2300. Callers will be able to speak with a Registered Nurse and ask questions regarding health concerns and about coronavirus.
To further flatten the curve, AdventHealth is moving its Laboratory, Imaging and other Outpatient Services from the hospital campus to its various AdventHealth Medical Group locations across Western North Carolina. Patients can reach out to their physician or AdventHealth’s Scheduling line: Call828-681-2180.
AdventHealth Hendersonville leaders report no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at any of its facilities. However, as the reports of more presumptive positive cases in our state and region increase, AdventHealth is expanding its precautionary measures to continue its promise to provide safe, high-quality care.
Anyone who has additional questions regarding COVID-19, including what it is and how to protect yourself from it, should visit AdventHealth’s dedicated COVID-19 website: CoronaVirusSignsandSymptoms.com.
