N.C., — AdventHealth Hendersonville Announces Newest Winner of the Sunflower Award

May 20, 2021; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to introduce you to the newest member of its nursing support team to win the Sunflower Award.

Stephen McGrady, CNA, works on the Medical/Surgical Unit at AdventHealth Hendersonville. He was nominated for exceptional work ethic embedded in the compassion he shows to every patient in his care. His supervisors point out Stephen is always ready to step in and help.

Here is an excerpt from Stephen’s nomination:

“On one occasion, Stephen taught a patient how to use their incentive spirometer (a device to help improve post-operative lung function) correctly. I am impressed with this knowledge and understanding of his patient’s conditions. He is the best.”
