AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, July 2, 2024 – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Beverly Knapp, RN, BS, MS as its Chief Operating Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville. Knapp has extensive strategic and operational experience in various health care roles including nursing, nursing administration, human resources, and most recently, clinical ancillary services. She brings more than 20 years of experience in health care executive leadership to her new role at AdventHealth Hendersonville.

Knapp received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA, and her Master of Science in Health Care Administration from California State University of Los Angeles. Most recently, Knapp served as System VP for Clinical Ancillary Services at Kettering Health. During that time, she oversaw strategic planning and development, growth initiatives and direct system oversight for inpatient and outpatient services of more than 3,000 team members.

With a background in nursing and a passion for leadership, she brings her considerable expertise to her new role at AdventHealth Hendersonville. She believes the best way she can help patients feel whole is by being a leader that models and supports strategies to reduce harm and improve access to the highest quality care.

“The whole-person, faith-based reputation that AdventHealth continues to both aspire and live to is what made me say ‘yes’ to AdventHealth,” Knapp shares. “The opportunity to be part of a health system that is intentionally looking at ways to grow and support community needs in a largely rural and some non-rural setting sparked my interest.”

“With her extensive background in health care leadership and a deep commitment to our mission, Bev is the embodiment of the strategic and compassionate leadership we value here at AdventHealth,” shared Brandon Nudd, President and Chief Executive Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “She is stepping into this vital operations role at a pivotal time in our continued work to expand options for whole-person care to meet the growing needs of our community.”

As a leader, Knapp ensures understanding through listening and observing. She is committed to helping team members feel respected and valued for their opinions and hard work and strives for collaboration and communication. Knapp is excited to support AdventHealth’s mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ by continuing to increase access to compassionate, whole-person care for the people of Western North Carolina.

“For patients and guests,” Knapp says, “we see you, we care for and about you, and we want to do everything we can to support you in your health and healing journey.”

Outside of work, Knapp enjoys playing tennis and disc golf. She and her husband spend their free time traveling to visit their three adult daughters and four granddaughters. When asked what she does to feel whole, Knapp shared her time with God and morning devotion helps her feel whole throughout her day.
