AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes New Director of Imaging Services

N.C., AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes New Director of Imaging Services

Dec. 8, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Kimberly Brown, MBA, RT(R)(M), CNMT as the Director of Imaging Services for AdventHealth Hendersonville. Brown brings her extensive clinical and managerial experience in imaging services to her new role at AdventHealth Hendersonville. She is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and patient satisfaction by creating a culture of caring within her team environment.

Brown’s career in imaging services began 27 years ago as a Mammography/Radiography Technologist and has steadily progressed to her current role as the Director of Imaging Services. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Science with a focus in Technology Management from Troy State University in Troy, AL. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Business Administration from Troy State University as well.

Brown was inspired to join the health care industry when she was in a car accident at 18 years old. The X-ray tech that took care of her kept her comfortable and provided compassionate care that Brown still remembers to this day. “The X-ray tech, Becky, kept talking to me and comforting me while narrating her care,” Brown remembers, “This helped me relax and provided security in a time of crisis. She began telling me about her X-ray career of 40 years, and after listening to her and looking back on how she treated me, I felt I wanted to go into the medical field, particularly radiology.”

This experience of compassionate care is something that stuck with Brown, and now is at the heart of how she leads and supports her team members. “I help people feel whole by listening to their concerns. Sometimes people don’t need you to say anything. They just want to be heard and appreciate someone listening.”

Brown was impressed with AdventHealth’s commitment to whole-person care. The leaders’ dedication to their team members is really what made her want to join AdventHealth Hendersonville. “I said yes because I like the mission of taking care of the whole person,” Brown shares, “I love the fact that AdventHealth is a faith-based organization that really cares about its most valuable assets, its people.”

“We are excited to have Kimberly join our incredible Imaging team here are AdventHealth Hendersonville,” shared Brandon Nudd, President and Chief Executive Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “She has extensive experience in health care imaging and a passion for caring for both patients and the people who make up our nationally accredited imaging services department.”

Brown is an advocate for high quality, safe and effective care, with a particular passion for women’s imaging and access care for mammography. She is looking forward to joining the warm, welcoming environment of AdventHealth Hendersonville.

After spending the last 20 years living at the beach, Brown is excited to explore the mountains of Western North Carolina. She is engaged to be married and enjoys baking and cooking during her free time.
