N.C., September 18, 2019 — AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine Welcomes New Physician Assistant

Hendersonville, NC (September 18, 2019) — AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to announce that Cassidy Ford, PA-C is now part of our care team at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Black Mountain*, formerly known as Parkway Medical Group Black Mountain.

Ford earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in biology/chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support.

Ford is a familiar face to many of the people receiving care at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Black Mountain. She was a medical assistant with Robert Barker, MD at this office for three years, prior to becoming a certified Physician Assistant. In her new role, Ford will join Dr. Barker and Wes Hite, DO to provide whole-person care – mind, body and spirit to the people of Black Mountain and nearby communities.

“I was born and raised in Western North Carolina. As a result, I have come to appreciate both the needs of the community and its outlook towards health care,” said Ford. “I have always searched for a way to return to my home and address such needs. Now as a health care provider and with AdventHealth’s help, I will be able to do so to the best of my abilities.”

Ford is welcoming new patients at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Black Mountain, located at 15 Jane Jacobs Road, Suite 101, Black Mountain, NC. She will also be offering Walk-in Appointments from 7:30 to 9:30 am every Tuesday and Thursday. These appointments will be offered as walk-in, first come basis.
