N.C., — AdventHealth Medical Group Rheumatology Welcomes New Physician

Nov. 12, 2021; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Francis Luk, MD to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Rheumatology at Hendersonville. Dr. Luk is board-certified in internal medicine with a focus in Rheumatology. He specializes in the treatment of RA, gout, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and many other joint diseases.

Dr. Luk earned his bachelor’s degree in Science and Biochemistry from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency program and his fellowship in Rheumatology in Philadelphia, PA.

One of the specialized aspects of Dr. Luk’s care is bringing the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound right to the bedside of his patients. Dr. Luk adds, “This allows me to show my patients what I see right at the bedside and allows me improved accuracy in my decision-making and injection procedures. Patients have told me they like seeing it and find it amazing.”

Dr. Luk likes to focus on building the trust of the patient and listening to their individual health needs. AdventHealth’s compassionate care and friendly staff is what drew him to join the team at AdventHealth Medical Group Rheumatology. “I am excited to join a group of wonderful people with similar goals as mine, to simply do the best I can to serve the community.”
