February 17, 2020, HENDERSONVILLE, NC – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to share that it is expanding access to convenient, comprehensive, whole-person care to the Etowah community. Beginning in February, Country Clinic Family Practice will become AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Etowah*. Certified Physician Assistant Shann Davis and his care team will continue to care for their patients in Etowah and neighboring communities. They will also welcome new patients in the same building where his current office is located on Etowah School Road in Etowah, N.C.

Davis is a native of Henderson County who began his health care career as an U.S. Army Medic in the 82^nd Airborne Division. He shares he knew as a young child he wanted to pursue a career in which he could help people.

Davis earned his bachelor’s degree in medical science with a physician assistant certificate at Des Moines University in Iowa. His health care career spans 26 years, including his service as a military medic and more than 17 years as a physician assistant.

“My unique approach to my professional role is to treat everyone like family,” said Davis. “I want my family treated well, so I incorporate that motivation with my patients. Our patients have responded well and refer their family and friends to our office because they know we truly care about them.”

Davis is married and has a son and daughter. When he is not caring for patients, he loves spending time with his family and enjoying the variety of outdoor activities our region offers. In addition, Davis likes to read and is active in his local church. When we asked what he does to feel whole, he shared: “Spending time with God. I can’t feel whole without my faith.”
