N.C., November 02, 2022 — AdventHealth Welcomes New Family Medicine Provider to Office in East Asheville

Nov. 2, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Angela Trogdon, MSN, MPH, FNP-C to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Parkway*. Trogdon is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing excellent care to her patients with a focus on prevention and wellness, and disease management.

Trogdon has more than 30 years of experience as a registered nurse in critical care, emergency medicine, and management. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Nursing and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner program from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.

Trogdon provides excellent, individualized care to each of her patients. She says getting to know her patients on a personal level is the key. “Primary care is fundamentally about the relationship between the health care provider and the patient (and the patient’s family). One of my goals in providing primary care is to develop long term relationships with my patients (and their families) in which we, the patient and I, can work together to achieve optimal health for them, so that they may enjoy life to its fullest.”

Trogdon explains what made her want to join the AdventHealth team, “As a health care system AdventHealth recognizes the fact that patients are far more than their medical diagnosis. The whole-person concept aligns perfectly with my personal view and approach to patients and their families.”

Trogdon was a flight nurse in the Air Force Reserves for 23 years and has retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her pug “Logan” and spending time outdoors.
