AdventHealth Hosts Community Listening Sessions to Discuss 26-Bed Certificate of Need Application
May 9, 2024; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is committed to Moving Health Care Forward in Western North Carolina to meet the need for more health care choice and competition.
We are honored to have been selected – by the community and the State of North Carolina – to build a new hospital to serve the people of Buncombe, Graham, Madison and Yancey Counties. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services recently announced the area needs an additional 26 acute care beds.
On June 17, 2024, AdventHealth will submit a CON application to locate these additional beds at the new hospital in Buncombe County. These beds represent another opportunity to enhance choice and competition in the region and bring new health care services for our neighbors in the service area.
As part of this commitment, AdventHealth is hosting a series of community listening sessions to hear from the people of Buncombe, Graham, Madison, and Yancey Counties. The public is invited to join us to share their thoughts regarding the health needs in their communities and the choices they would like to have when it comes to health care.
