HENDERSONVILLE, NC, July 3, 2024 – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to introduce you to Kelly Grant, BSN, RN, winner of our DAISY Award for the exceptional and compassionate care she provides patients in the Emergency Department.

Kelly is known for providing her patients with the highest quality nursing care. She makes sure patients feel comfortable and know she is there to take care of them during their time at AdventHealth. Her genuine love for others allows her to Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ to the patients and families that come into her care. With her calm and compassionate approach to care, she is able to connect with her patients and provide them reassurance during a time that is often very stressful.

A recent patient of Kelly’s remembers the excellent care Kelly gave her at AdventHealth Hendersonville. She nominated Kelly for this award and shared, “Kelly came in for her shift and took over my case. She constantly delivered excellent care to me as a patient ensuring my comfort and well-being with passion and proficiency. Her unwavering commitment left a lasting impact on me as a patient.”

AdventHealth Hendersonville is honored to recognize Kelly as our newest DAISY Award winner.

The DAISY Award was created by the family of J. Patrick Barnes in 1999 to thank the nurses who cared for Patrick and for them as he battled an autoimmune disease. Patrick lost his battle, but his family realized the impact his nurses had on the final days of his life. For that, they wanted to create an opportunity for all families who experience the benefits of the extraordinary care of nurses to show their appreciation.
