Oct. 18, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Nicki Frost, MD to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty in Candler. Dr. Frost is board-certified in family medicine and will be providing primary care to patients of all ages. She brings an integrated, patient-centered approach to provide whole-person care and is excited to be able to offer convenient, personalized care to the community in Candler.

Dr. Frost earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Centre College in Danville, KY. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, KY. She then completed her Family Medicine Residency Program through the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC.

Dr. Frost’s goal is to partner with her patients and be a resource for them to achieve their health care goals. “As a primary care physician, I feel my role is to not only educate my patients about their health, but to partner with them to determine the approach to their care that best aligns with their goals and values,” Dr. Frost explains.

AdventHealth’s compassionate culture and promise of whole-person care really resonated with her personal care philosophy. “One reason I chose a career in medicine is because I love getting to know people, hearing their life stories, and helping them achieve their goals,” Dr. Frost shares, “and the whole-person care model really embodies this personal approach to health care.”

Dr. Frost is passionate about incorporating lifestyle modification into her approach to health care. From helping patients understand optimizing sleep and managing stress to healthy dietary choices, she is committed to being a resource and a champion for her patients in their health care journey.

Dr. Frost and her husband like to explore the mountains of Western North Carolina by hiking, biking, and kayaking. Some of her hobbies include vegetarian cooking, playing classical piano, and playing board games with friends.
