— New Nurse Practitioner Offers Convenient Patient-Centered Care for Candler Community

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, January 8, 2025 – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Melissa “Missy” Honeycutt, AGNP-C, to her new role at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at Candler. Honeycutt will be offering convenient, patient-centered primary care for patients 12 years of age or older in the Candler community.

Honeycutt earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a focus on Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, MI.

Honeycutt is a familiar face at AdventHealth, where she recently served on the Chronic Care Management team at AdventHealth Hendersonville. In that role she collaborated closely with patients and their families to significantly improve the quality of life for those living with various chronic diseases. And because of her passion to help others, Honeycutt decided to take the next step in her career and completed the nurse practitioner program with the support of AdventHealth and their Lighted Career Path.

As a native of Buncombe County, Honeycutt is excited to be providing high-quality, compassionate care to the community that she loves so much. She believes in collaborating with her patients and earning their trust through actively listening and providing the tools to support their individual health care goals.

To help her patients feel whole, Honeycutt says “Acknowledging what is important to them and giving them the tools and support to reach those goals” is key to the wholistic support and quality care she promises to provide for every patient, every time.

Honeycutt and her husband have been married for 27 years and have two children. She enjoys watching football, loves animals and hopes to have a ‘mini’ farm one day. The things that help her feel whole are spending time in prayer, at church and with her family.
