Physician Assistant Comes Back to Hometown to Care for Children on AdventHealth Hendersonville’s Pediatrics Team

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, June 20, 2024 – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Laini English Arnold, PA-C to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Pediatrics at Medical Office Building*. Arnold is a Hendersonville native and excited to join our team of exceptional pediatric specialists providing high-quality, patient-centered care for children and their families in the community where she grew up.

Arnold earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.

From the time she was a little girl growing up in Hendersonville, Arnold knew she wanted to work in pediatrics. She was determined to study medicine and use that gift to serve others in need. When she was in college, she learned about the physician assistant career pathway, and was thrilled it offered her the opportunity to provide excellent, patient-focused primary care to children and their families.

“I have a deep, rooted passion for advocating for the well-being of children,” Arnold shares. “I am hopeful that I can use my career to help children grow to be the healthiest versions of themselves. I see working in primary care to be a way I can serve in a capacity that is deeply meaningful and as a way to empower children to promote healthy lifestyles. I am thrilled to watch babies grow into teenagers and cultivate relationships with my patients and their families over time.”

“AdventHealth’s promise of whole-person care for the body, mind and spirit draws some of the most compassionate and highly skilled providers to Western North Carolina,” explains Christy Sneller, Vice President of Physician Services for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “Laini is the latest example of this. Her passion for helping children development health and wellness habits to last a lifetime are what make her a great addition to our pediatrics team.”

Arnold is committed to building relationships with her patients, and actively listening. Her approach to patient care is that it is all about the patient's care. She believes in shared decision making and empowering the patients and families to be involved in their health and well-being.

As a Hendersonville native, Arnold was drawn to AdventHealth’s mission of whole-person care, and their dedication to advocacy and community involvement. She is excited to be returning home to serve and provide convenient care for the children and families of Western North Carolina.

“My mission as a physician assistant is to provide excellent, intentional, servant-hearted and patient-focused medical care,” Arnold explains. “My hope is to partner with families for long-term, deep relationships, care for many of their children, and to be a trusted clinician and friend to them all.”

Having grown up in Hendersonville, Arnold and her husband moved back to the area to be closer to family and friends. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with others, getting outside, playing with her puppy, exercising, and cooking meals to enjoy with friends and family. Being a part of a local church family and being in meaningful relationships is what brings her joy and helps her feel whole.
