AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation Announces Support for AdventHealth Ottawa’s Capital Projects

Ottawa Foundation Capital Projects

The AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation is pleased to announce $500,000 in support for the current capital expansion and renovation project to grow health care services and physician specialties offered to Franklin County residents.

Executive Director of the AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation Amy Piersol said the bulk of this support is from a grant of $400,000 given by the Sunderland Foundation. Piersol remarked, “The AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation is truly grateful for the Sunderland Foundation’s focus on expanding healthcare in local communities and for this generous investment in the renovations and expansions taking place at AdventHealth Ottawa.”

The additional $100,000 in support for the projects was provided by the AdventHealth Foundation’s Legacy Celebration event in September and the AdventHealth Foundation’s donation of a building lot adjacent to the building at 901 S. Main Street.

AdventHealth Ottawa President and Chief Executive Officer Dallas Purkeypile said, “I am grateful for the AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation’s work to secure philanthropic funds for the capital projects. The grant from the Sunderland Foundation is significant as it directly furthers AdventHealth Ottawa’s commitment to providing outstanding healthcare locally.”

Purkeypile says that the three-phase construction project is moving ahead on schedule and is expected to be completed in late fall 2023, with the first phase wrapping up by the end of this year. The building located at 901 S. Main Street, will undergo a complete transformation to become AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park. It will house Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology, Sleep Medicine, Rheumatology, and other specialties, as part of the rural health clinic. The renovations will more than double the square footage available for medical services, creating space for future growth and an improved patient experience. In addition, suites 3 and 4 of the Franklin County Annex at 1428 S. Main Street will be renovated for rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy.
