Your Spot for Superior Imaging Services
Imaging care is now even easier to access at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway in downtown Palm Coast. Medical imaging is more than just a picture. It’s a confirmation that your tender ankle is actually broken. It’s the prevention of a heart attack with cardiac CT imaging. It’s seeing the whole you, inside and out.
Using sophisticated equipment and the combined efforts of radiologists, imaging technicians and other care team members, we’ll tend to your needs and help you make informed care decisions.
We’re here to help you find the right imaging service or a location that’s convenient for you.
Imaging Services for Whole Health
- Advanced Screenings, Tests and Treatments
-
With a team of diagnostic specialists and a range of routine and minimally invasive imaging services, you can now find the care you need, right here in downtown Palm Coast. Our imaging and radiology services include:
- Computed tomography (CT scan): scans that can detect tumors, internal bleeding, fractures, and certain types of disease
- Diagnostic X-rays: images of your body’s inner tissues and structures that help us examine broken bones and fractures
- Fluoroscopy: another form of X-ray that creates a continuous moving image in real time
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): a radiation-free diagnostic test that takes detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues and bones
- Nuclear medicine with SPECT-CT scanning: the safe use of radioactive substances combined with CT to diagnose conditions like cancer, heart disease and neurological disorders
- Ultrasounds: images (created by sound waves) of the body’s internal tissues and organs, which help diagnose diseases, as well as take pictures of a baby inside the womb
- Prepare for Your Visit: What to Expect
-
To help you feel at ease, our imaging team will help you understand what to expect during your CT scan, MRI or other imaging procedure. We’ll get to know you, too, from gathering your medical history to asking whether you experience anxiety in confined spaces.
Most imaging tests take 30 minutes to an hour. Before your screening or diagnostic exam, we may ask you to change into a gown or scrubs and to remove any electronic devices or metal jewelry. To get a clearer look inside your body, we may also have you drink a liquid called a contrast or a radiotracer. You can trust that all our imaging tests are either non-invasive or minimally invasive — and that we’ll guide you from start to finish, doing our best to make you feel comfortable and safe.
Once your exam is over, we’ll evaluate your images and deliver your results to your provider as promptly as possible.
We’re Focused on Whole-Person Support
Our multidisciplinary care team offers various imaging services at locations convenient to you. We work to get you results quickly so you can get the care you need. We’re also here to connect you with resources and to help overcome roadblocks — whether it’s helping you find a ride home after an imaging appointment or connecting you with support groups for people who share your diagnosis. Because to us, it’s not just about healing your body; it’s caring for all parts of you: easing your mind, lifting your spirit and getting you back to feeling whole.
