In an effort to never stop innovating, we’re pleased to share that construction is now complete and our new Freytag Cancer Center at AdventHealth Palm Coast is officially open.
Comprehensive Cancer Care Close to Home
Named in tribute to two local Palm Coast residents, Peter and Sue Freytag, the Freytag Cancer Center is home to comprehensive cancer care services, including radiation and medical oncology. The Freytags’ generous contribution to establishing our new cancer center is a testament to their love for their community and dedication to helping others. The facility will allow us to keep advancing our care and provide greater access to personalized cancer treatments, close to home.
“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to help people in our community get the best care without having to travel,” Sue shared. This project has been very close to the Freytags’ hearts, as Peter is a cancer survivor and knows first-hand the value and importance of convenient, trusted access to care.
“Everybody knows someone who has had cancer, just as our family has been impacted by cancer,” Peter said. “We know that this is a very personal and difficult journey, and we want to do everything we can to support others facing this challenge.
Our skilled cancer specialists offer advanced therapies and personalized cancer care for all ages. “Now, you’ll have even better access to quality cancer care and state-of-the-art technology, all conveniently located close to home in Palm Coast,” shared Irfan Ahmed, MD, a radiation oncologist at the new facility. “Our team provides whole-hearted, compassionate care to cancer patients and their families throughout their treatment. Now, we can provide even more life-changing resources to those who need it most.”
In addition to offering innovative cancer care, this 30,000-square-foot facility includes convenient primary care. It's also the new home of the Judith C. Macko Cancer Resource Center, which will continue to provide free resources to patients and their families.
