PALM COAST, Fla., March 16, 2020 – On March 10, AdventHealth Palm Coast celebrated the opening of a new physical therapy clinic for Hammock Dunes Club members.
Located inside the Hammock Dunes Clubhouse, a private golf community in Palm Coast, the AdventHealth Palm Coast sports medicine and rehabilitation team can alleviate non-emergent muscle and joint problems ranging from sports injuries to back pain.
“AdventHealth Palm Coast has been fantastic to work with,” said Jesse Thorpe, Hammock Dunes Club chief operating officer. “I've heard testimonials from people already, literally saying that this service is changing lives. For me, that's probably the best thing that could possibly happen. This is about quality of life, and quality of life will improve quantity of life.”
Using the latest evidence-based treatments and technologies, including the MedBridge app, patients can also access their home exercise program to view videos, track their progress and communicate directly with their therapist between visits.
In addition, the AdventHealth Palm Coast Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified physical therapists will partner with Hammock Dunes’ TPI certified golf instructors to teach golfers the proper body mechanics to reduce injuries while golfing. TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. The TPI certification program is an evidence-based educational program that allows AdventHealth Palm Coast physical therapists to complete golf-specific injury assessments and rehabilitation techniques.
