PALM COAST, Fla., March 3, 2016 On March 2, Florida Hospital Flagler celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration for the Florida Hospital Centra Care urgent care facility.
The new 5,000 sq. ft. facility, located at 1270 Palm Coast Pkwy NW, answers a true need in Flagler County. According to the Florida Department of Health, Flagler County has less than 140 licensed physicians serving its approximately 100,000 residents less than half the coverage statewide. Additionally, pediatricians are in particularly short supply locally.
Florida Hospital Centra Care is a wonderful complement to our growing slate of services in Flagler County, said Ken Mattison, Florida Hospital Flagler CEO. This serves as a wonderful alternative for Flagler County residents who don't need the acute care in our ER, but need to be seen quickly and by Florida Hospital physicians they can trust.
At Florida Hospital Centra Care, Palm Coast residents have access to a team of board certified, adult and pediatric-trained doctors for urgent, non-emergency medical needs seven days a week. The facility also offers on-site labs, and other immediate healthcare services such as X-rays, EKG, stitches, physicals, blood pressure testing, immunizations, and more.
Additionally, Florida Hospital Centra Care offers employers and employees a wide variety of pre-employment and workers compensation services, including prompt, affordable care for work injuries, employee physicals and drug and alcohol testing for public and private employers, of all sizes.
This is the first Florida Hospital Centra Care in Flagler County and the 29th in Florida. Click here to learn more.
