PALM COAST, Fla., May 15, 2018 In celebration of National Nurses Week, SuperWash Express donated 400 free car washes to the nurses at AdventHealth Palm Coast.
Every single nurse I spoke with was thrilled with the gift, said Carmen Bourdeau, AdventHealth Palm Coasts intensive care unit (ICU) nurse manager. Many nurses use their drive home as a time of reflection and a time to unwind from their busy shift. No doubt, this is much better accomplished in a shiny clean car! We all truly appreciated being acknowledged by a business in our community with such a thoughtful gift.
Other nurses echoed Bordeau's thoughts.
That was an amazing way to show the nurses appreciation, said registered nurse Saby Tucker.
That was so thoughtful, registered nurse Sydney Mariano added.
Celebrated from May 6-12, National Nurses Week recognizes the critical role nurses play in providing high-quality and compassionate patient-centered care.
I’m happy to give a free wash to the nurses of AdventHealth Palm Coast for nurses appreciation week, said Paul Bradley, president of SuperWash Express. I have an immense amount of respect and admiration for those who serve others during their weakened moments.
