New Facilities Manager Named

PALM COAST, Fla., March 20, 2017 Florida Hospital Flagler has selected Charles Whitlock to serve as the new facilities manager.

In this role, Whitlock will oversee the daily operation of the security department and engineering staff, and will work closely with the facilities director to plan, coordinate and complete all construction and renovations to ensure they are in compliance with all regulatory agency codes and standards with minimal disruption to patient care.

Whitlock has 32 years of experience and has been with Florida Hospital for 12 years, serving in multiple facilities roles throughout the hospital. He most recently served as plant operations manager and was responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, including boilers and medical vacuum pumps.

Prior to joining Florida Hospital Flagler, Whitlock, a Ormond Beach resident, served for four years in the U.S. Airforce as a ground support equipment mechanic and worked with a military contractor for 16 years providing aircraft support.
