AdventHealth Redmond announces Ben Carpenter as the new Chief Operating Officer. Carpenter is a health care executive with more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, financial growth, hospital operations, service line development and physician care pathways.
Carpenter previously worked for Kettering Health in Dayton, Ohio. There, he served as the Vice President of Strategic Operations. Carpenter managed organizational growth and operational efficiency. For three years, his focus was on reducing lead times to surgery, growing the hospital’s open-heart program, developing orthopedic same-day discharge standardization and establishing a vascular/surgical wound service line.
“I believe commitment to quality and efficiency consistently leads to operational growth, and I am ready to help empower people to be change agents for providing the best patient experience,” Carpenter said. “I am excited to join a team passionate about extending the healing ministry of Christ and implementing impactful operational initiatives.”
As COO, he will use his strategic and operational knowledge to enhance AdventHealth Redmond’s hospital performance and service delivery.
Outside of the office, Carpenter is passionate about medical mission work and has hosted an annual mission trip for the past 20 years, highlighting his dedication to improving health care access globally and locally. He will be joined by his wife, Phoebe, and their two boys, Isaac and Kyle. As a family, they enjoy water activities, nature walks and spending quality time together.
