What to Expect When You Visit the ER
We’re committed to bringing you timely emergency care, so we use a process called triage to help us prioritize who receives care first. This means a later-arriving patient in a critical condition may receive treatment sooner than an earlier-arriving patient who isn’t in critical condition. But you can trust that we’re committed to helping you heal, which means we’ll do all we can to reduce your wait time and see to your comfort and health.
While emergencies are unexpected, there are some steps you can take to prepare, which will help us provide better, faster treatment. Consider keeping certain helpful information on you at all times, such as the name of your primary care physician, your insurance card, a list of your medications and drug allergies, and any advance directives (like health care proxy or power of attorney).
