AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Opens Fertility Center

MERRIAM, Kan., August 12, 2024 — AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is proud to announce the grand opening of the AdventHealth Fertility Center Shawnee Mission, the only fertility center within the AdventHealth system that provides in-vitro fertilization services. The center will offer comprehensive fertility support to families in the Kansas City area and beyond.

Board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist Dan Gehlbach, MD, founder of Midwest Reproductive Center, PA, (MRC), will lead the fertility center. After 20 years of operating as an independent practitioner, Dr. Gehlbach chose to move his practice to AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and establish the AdventHealth Fertility Center, offering his patients easier access to AdventHealth's top-quality women's health services, including Kansas City's leading Birth Center. MRC’s full team, including nurse practitioners Johni Kilton, WHNP-BC, and Goldie Bjornstad, FNP-C, have also moved over with the transition.
